How do foam rollers Work?

Foam rollers work by directly pressing your muscles into the roller using your body weight to control pressure. The roller works out sore, tight, and stiff muscles to increase blood flow and mobility. Basically, foam rollers are a form of self massage.


When should I foam roll?
  • Before a Workout: It is a nice warm up stretch, that compliments the dynamic warm up on the Smartrainer
  • After a Workout: Foam rolling after a workout helps relax your muscles and increase circulation to prevent injury and aid in muscle recovery


What can I foam roll?

Basically everything but your face! But here is a list of some of our favorites!

  • Quadriceps
