Just Like Mama Used to Make!

(But maybe a little healthier.)

 

Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 1 ½ cup chopped carrots
  • 8 oz. (1 package) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 28‐oz. can low sodium crushed tomatoes
  • 2 15‐oz. cans dark red kidney beans
  • 4 oz. crushed pineapple in juice
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven, sauté onions using non‐stick cooking spray
  2. Add turkey and sauté until just browned
  3. Add the remaining ingredients
  4. Simmer for an hour

Makes 6 servings.
